I created this bowl with the intention of it having lace on the inside of the bowl; however, I wasn't able to press the lace into the bowl very well and it ended up getting covered by the glaze I used. Glaze UsedOutside: Tangelo c. x3 & Oatmeal pc. x3 (staggered)

For the longest time, I have wanted to try sgraffito. Sgraffito Definition: a form of decoration made by scratching through a surface to reveal a lower layer of a contrasting color, typically done in plaster or stucco on walls, or in slip on ceramics before firing. At first, my art teacher, Nicole Smith, and I weren't sure if we could fire green wear with underglaze and sgraffito on it with regular green wear or glaze wear; however, we discovered that we could initially fire my sgraffito bowl with underglaze on them with regular green wear.
